It is here, in the wilds of the Taku River, where king salmon fill the pools patiently waiting to bend the rod of an eager angler. 

THE GIANTS OF THE TAKU RIVER

The king salmon fishing here is really beyond compare with weights running between 8 and 27 kilograms. 

THE FIGHT IS ON

This is one of the few places in the world you can consistently hookup with huge kings using a single or double hand fly rod. The big king’s will push your gear to its absolute limits. An extra rod and reel should be packed as our big kings have destroyed many over the years.

VERY BEST FLY FISHING FOR KING SALMON TO BE FOUND

For experienced fly fishermen more than 10 hookups a day is not unheard of. Along with king salmon you can indulge in hours of dry fly and nymph fishing for trophy rainbow trout, bull trout and dolly varden.

EXCLUSIVITY IN PRISTINE WILDERNESS

When your helicopter “lifts off” for your fishing adventure you are guaranteed absolute exclusivity. Your small group (maximum 8 guests) will have the entire camp, an immense wilderness area and a river full of fish all to yourselves.

FISHING AT YOUR OWN PACE

You are literally just steps away from your cabin to the best king salmon fishing. Imagine landing these huge salmon just a few meters from the deck of the lodge or easily walking to several pools a few minutes away. You may also choose to be transported by jet boat to your favorite fishing hole further from camp.

ONE CANNOT FISH WELL WITHOUT DINING WELL

Being out on the river all day requires energy. Our Chef will present many delicious and healthy delights from the kitchen and off the barbeque including vegetarian and gluten-free options. The menu accommodates all dietary preferences and restrictions and our wine rack will amaze. 

WILDERNESS WITH STYLE

We offer guests our warm northern hospitality and delightful and healthy cuisine. Our warm cabins for couples or singles each have their own toilet and shower. You will be living in traditional styled luxury with everything from electricity to laundry service in the middle of a vast untamed king salmon fishing oasis.

TRIP ITINERARY

Example 7 Night Package

Day 1

Arrival in Whitehorse and overnight

Discover the many attractions of the capital of the Yukon Territory: The SS Klondike Historic Park – with an historic 210 ' long sternwheeler, the Yukon Archives with documented history back to 1845 or the McBride Museum that showcases the Yukon's cultural and natural history. Please note that there is no overnighting necessary when arriving and departing on direct Condor flights from Frankfurt to Whitehorse.

Day 2

Start of your fishing adventure

Early shuttle bus transfer to Atlin, British Columbia (1.5 hours) and helicopter trip to the T’á ish Adventures camp where your fishing adventure begins (30 minutes).

Day 3-8

King Salmon Fishing

Every day is designed to offer you the most epic of fishing trips for king salmon. Take advantage of exceptional fly-fishing for native rainbow, bull trout and dolly varden.

Day 9

Depart from the T’á ish Adventures Camp

Late morning flight by helicopter to Atlin and shuttle bus transfer back to Whitehorse for your flight home.

Wilderness with Style

THE CAMP

You will be living in traditional styled luxury with everything from electricity to laundry service in the middle of a vast untamed wilderness area. The main lodge consists of a kitchen and dining room where our chefs provide excellent cuisine three times a day.

THE CABINS

Built just back off the river and perfectly integrated into the natural surroundings, the camp offers comfortable cabins of double occupancy. The cabins, equipped with lighting, contains single or queen beds with duvet bedding as well as a heater to ensure your comfort.

THE WASHROOMS

Each cabin has a detached bathroom unit located in a central bathroom building located behind the cabins. This central bathroom building contains 6 separate bathrooms offering each cabin its private bathroom unit. Each elegant bathroom features a septic flush toilet, modern vanity, warm water shower, power outlets and lighting. Nakina Adventures provides towels and face cloths.
